Rihanna bangkit dari keterpurukan pasca dianiaya Chris Brown di awal tahun ini. Penyanyi asal Barbados itu merilis single terbaru, Russian Roulette.

Single terbaru itu diperdengarkan kali pertama di acara radio Ryan Seacrest's. Single ini merupakan andalan dari album Rihanna 'Rated R'.

Lagu yang ditulis dan diproduseri Ne-Yo itu dijadwalkan akan dirilis secara resmi dalam bentuk fisik ke pasaran pada 23 November 2009. Demikian dikutip Showbizspy, Rabu (21/10/2009).

Ne-Yo juga pernah menulis lagu untuk Rihanna pada 2006, Unfaithful. Ne-Yo juga berduet dengan peraih Grammy di lagu Hate That I Love You.

Album 'Rated R' disebut Ne-Yo sebagai refleksi kemarahan Rihanna. "Akan ada sesuatu di album ini yang tidak pernah Anda dengar dari Rihanna sebelumnya," promo Ne-Yo.

Album tersebut diisi duet dengan Justin Timberlake, Tyson Ritter (All-American Rejects), Drake dan Akon. Ini merupakan album terbaru Rihanna setelah ' Good Girl Gone Bad' (2007)
